Translating a Unique Brand Identity into E-commerce

Renowned for one of the largest collections of Jewish art and artifacts in the world, the Jewish Museum’s shop is a leading global resource for gifts, Judaica, jewelry, decor, and much more. We translated their recently developed brand identity into a seamless e-commerce experience for desktop and mobile.

Brand Application

Partnering with Jewish Museum and the identity design firm Sagmeister & Walsh, we balanced the new brand and e-commerce best practices to create a user-friendly shopping experience with luscious product photography and an efficient user experience, from browsing to check-out.

Small Screens and Social Shoppers

With the growth of mobile shopping, we used responsive image galleries, product information, and user flows in the Jewish Museum’s small-screen experience. The site includes effective promotion for membership, wish list, and registry. Shoppers who use mobile devices are twice as likely to share content socially, so we promoted social media actions throughout the store. The online store launched in desktop and mobile optimized formats in Summer 2014.


Along with the Jewish Museum website, the online store launched in July 2014. Since launch, the store has experienced a significant increase in orders, order size, and mobile orders.
